The Cow Manifesto
Once you understand me, you know what I want
When you evolve, I follow
I put my life in your hands
All I have I give to you
In return, you give me food and shelter
I am your ethical and moral mirror: the way you treat me is how you treat yourself and your peers
You will respect me for who I am
You shall not treat me unjustly, you will not beat me, and you shall not take my life in vain
When you take my life, it must be done with reverence and with gratitude
You shall give me the food that is appropriate for me
When weather permits, you shall let me go out in the open and find my own food
You must gather food for the winter for me and you shall preserve it so that it suits me
You shall not push me and change me for your own needs, but where you lead me, it should suit me
You shall let me live in my herd, and with my calves
I want a bull in my herd
I want my horn and my tail, you must not mutilate me for your convenience
You shall not be afraid of me, but with confidence, guide my steps
